- Health and Safety Trained Application (This card is available to applicants who complete the CSR 1 day Health & Safety Training. This card provides evidence of appropriate basic health & safety training only and will not display the card holders occupation. This card is accepted in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (as equivalent to Safe Pass). This card WILL NOT be accepted in GB. The card is valid for 4 years from the date of completion of the CSR 1 day Health & Safety Training.
- Labourer’s Application (This card is available to those engaged in a labouring occupation. Applicants must complete the CSR 1 day Health & Safety Training and have an employer declaration completed confirming the applicant is working in a labouring occupation. The card is valid for 4 years from the date of completion of the CSR 1 day Health & Safety Training.
- CSR Application ( This card is available for Tradesmen, Skilled workers and Supervisors and requires an NVQ or equivalent qualification.).
The Construction Skills Register (CSR) is a register of construction workers living in Northern Ireland who have completed the industry approved CSR health and safety training course. The aims of the registration scheme are to raise standards of health and safety and provide recognition of skills, experience and qualifications attained.
To become registered, workers must complete a minimum of the one day health and safety training course, delivered by Alana Concepts Ltd.
The CSR card is accepted outside of Northern Ireland through a mutual recognition agreement between CSR and the Solas Safe Pass Safety Awareness Training Programme in the Republic of Ireland, and through an affiliation with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) in Britain. Please click here for more information about the CSR scheme and the agreements it has with similar schemes in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland to ensure that CSR cards are accepted in these jurisdictions.
